New Seven Wonders of the World
There is a new effort underway to revamp the Seven Wonders of the world and new additions have been considered. The number had been elevated to 21 wonder finalist in addition to the old one. The Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, the Acropolis in Athens, Jordan’s ancient city of Petra, the pyramid, the Eiffel tower, the Statue of liberty, Sydney Opera House, Easter Island of Chile are the new recommendations. The idea is to come up with new seven batch wonders since it is only the pyramids that are still in existence today among the Seven Wonders the Greeks came up with 2000 years ago. Critics are saying there could be more that include Empire State building and English Channel tunnel and the committee that has a website at new7wonders.com has stated it will come up with the new runner-ups seven winners by July 7.
