2The FlipStart, brought to market by Vulcan Portals Inc, owned by Paul Allen Microsoft co-founder measures 5.9 by 4.5 by 1.6 inches and its weight is 1.75 po2unds. The mini laptop has a 30 GB hard drive, 1.1 GHz Intel Pentium M Ultra Low Voltage processor, and 512MB. FlipStart displays two screens one a 5.6-inch, 1024 by 600 pixel and there is another one called InfoPane screen that is on the outside, which enables simple tasks such as reading emails or going over a calendar without flipping open the computer but the computer has to be on. The mini laptop is easy to use and its battery works between 3-6 hours and it has a built in USB and Ethernet ports with Wi-Fi Bluetooth circuitry built in. Its close competitor is the OQO, which is more of a tablet. It is possible to type on the small keyboards while holding the small laptop with the hand using the thumbs or it is handy to put on the lap or on a table and do normal typing.
