Amniotic Fluid Replacing Embryos

Researchers are saying that it might be time to switch to amniotic fluid that does not have a controversial issue hanging over it as is retrieving stem cells from embryos. The liquid is obtained from pregnant women and what it does in the womb is cushioning the baby and is expendable. If there is a catch it might not still avail the more than 200 cells that the body is made up of, most of which are easily retrievable from an embryo. However, starting from President Bush using embryos for retrieving stem cells have a stern opposition. The researchers have said it will be many years before amniotic fluid replaces embryos, which means the research on embryos as the good source of stem cells that are used for many purposes such as reengineering body organs or for various aesthetic purposes that could encompass many areas some of them labeled exotic will continue unabated, while at the same time the possibilities the amniotic fluid would avail will also be studied.
