Apple Creates a Buzz

Apple has introduced a new touch screen controlled device that has the capacity to send email and voice mail, play music, and surf the Internet. In fact it is a cell phone that would cost around $500. The iPhone that was unveiled on Tuesday by Steve Jobs has stirred interest and is said to be accepted warmly by Wall Street as well as investors who catapulted the Apple’s share by around $7.10 when 120 million shares changed hand creating close to $6 billion wealth for the shareholders. Analysts are saying it is difficult to say if the device is priced competitively, because the new introduction is only a wide touch screen and the device being slimmer than most similar devices. This would mean except being a product sold by Apple that had seen huge success with its iPods that needs to protect the turf created by the iPod it is not exceptional.. In fact, the name iPhone is already registered by Cisco System since 2000, which might make it difficult for Apple to call the cell phone iPhone. The company has changed its name to Apple Inc only reflecting that it is no longer a computer company only. Conclusion, the cell phone will come down as one of the products Apple pushed in the market to give a boost to its market share that was won by the iPods that was being eroded by cell phones that were offering similar music downloading service.
