Losing Bolt in Space

It is not the first time astronauts lost items while walking in space, once thy had lost a 14 in-long spatula that is still floating somewhere in space, but in their recent walk they lost a bolt, spring, and a washer. The washer is said to have made it into space while the spring and the bolt were nowhere to be found, which means if they float into any of the mechanisms they could cause a lot of problem. Other than that once in space, they would join other debris that are floating, but the question is no one might know whether it is an endless straight line journey into nowhere or they could be circling around the sun or the earth for that matter, responding or obeying to gravity. It is said that there could be a huge number of debris floating in space that could be harmful if they pierce the space suit or the wall of the space shuttle or the station.
