Aids is No Longer a Death Sentence

It is so wherever there is enough supply of medication. Those who can use medicine to suppress the disease could lead a normal life. Statistics according to New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene states that 31% of HIV patients died due to substance abuse, 24% died of cardiovascular disease, and 20% died of cancer that has nothing to do with the virus. The problem escalates when those infected with the virus engage in unprotected sex. Those that reported to having unprotected sex with other men were almost 10% and among them 70% were married. However, the picture is not rosy in regions where there is shortage of medication like Africa for example, while at the same time no matter how much it is suppressed by using medication, it still remains incurable.
